Med Math Gym
One method for every medication calculation — and a gym floor of fresh problems that never runs out.
Dose to volume, volume to dose, the unreadable label, weight-based dosing, drip rates, burn fluids and infusions, all worked the same way: units before numbers, x wherever the question gave no number, multiply the diagonal, divide by what is left. Built for providers who have always found the math a struggle.

- A check at the end of every module, with a rationale on every answer.
- Fresh problems every time — the gym floor never runs out.

Mapped to the National EMS Education Standards & NREMT domains.
What you'll be able to do
- Draw the frame, drop the numbers in by unit, and let x find itself.
- Solve dose-to-volume, volume-to-dose and the unreadable label with the same two operations.
- Run drip rates, burn fluids and infusions without a formula per question.
- Drill against a ten-minute clock until the math stops being the problem.
The arc of the course
6 modules · 22 lessons · self-paced. Here's what each module gets you.
Module 1 · Warm-up
2 lessons + quizIf arithmetic has been a long time ago, start here. Two short refreshers and nothing else.
- Fractions, decimals and percent — the three you actually need
- Rounding, estimating, and knowing when an answer looks wrong
Module 2 · The frame
5 lessons + quizThe one method. Draw the empty frame first, drop the numbers in by unit, multiply the diagonal without x, divide by what is left.
Module 3 · Units and weight
3 lessons + quizThe gram-milligram-microgram ladder, pounds to kilograms, and the weight step that comes before every per-kilogram frame.
Module 4 · Fluids
3 lessons + quizDrops per minute, millilitres per hour, the pediatric bolus, and the two burn-formula traps that cost the most points.
Module 5 · Infusions
5 lessons + quizParamedic level. Build the concentration from the bag, turn a per-minute order into a pump rate, and read what is left in the bag correctly.
Module 6 · Test day
4 lessons + quizSet the problem up before you solve it, read the last sentence, and then the gym floor: every skill, fresh numbers, no end.

Your instructor
Vincent Burburan, NRP
Critical Care Paramedic and NAEMSE educator. Every lesson is written from the truck, mapped to the National EMS Education Standards and the NREMT domains you're tested on — no fantasy tracings, no fluff.
Before you enroll
- Who is it for?
- AEMT and Paramedic students who have always found the math a struggle. It starts from fractions and builds one method, with the interactive drawing every step until your hand knows it.
- Is this the desired-over-have formula?
- No. It teaches the proportion frame — one shape that answers every question the exam asks — and shows why the formula you were probably taught has to be rearranged for two of the three.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes — every lesson, trainer and check is built for a phone, so the gym floor is there on shift.
- How do I get it?
- It is included with the AEMT Prep and Paramedic Prep memberships — no separate purchase. Sign in and it is under Courses.
